Advocacy is central to One Roof’s mission. Our team is dedicated to advocating for innovative solutions to homelessness, affordable housing, and improved services for the homeless community. Below are resources for other statewide groups who are working hard to advocate for ending homelessness in Alabama and for providing safe, decent, affordable housing for all hardworking Alabamians.
Low Income Housing Coalition of Alabama (LICHA)
LIHCA is a coalition of Alabamians that joined together to address the housing crisis in our state and increase housing opportunities for those with the greatest financial need.
Alabama Alliance to End Homelessness (ALEAH)
The Alabama Alliance to End Homelessness started in 2003 to bring together people interested in homelessness and was originally called the Alabama Council on Homelessness. ALAEH has a Board of 14 Directors, represented and nominated by each of Alabama’s Continuum of Care groups. ALEAH’s purpose is to facilitate networking among those who are concerned with homelessness in Alabama, to support the Continuum of Care groups, and to provide education (especially through our annual conference) on those resources for ending homelessness.
