Advocacy Resources

Advocacy is central to One Roof’s mission. Our team is dedicated to advocating for innovative solutions to homelessness, affordable housing, and improved services for the homeless community. Below are resources for other statewide groups who are working hard to advocate for ending homelessness in Alabama and for providing safe, decent, affordable housing for all hardworking Alabamians.

Low Income Housing Coalition of Alabama (LICHA)
LIHCA is a coalition of Alabamians that joined together to address the housing crisis in our state and increase housing opportunities for those with the greatest financial need.

National Alliance to End Homelessness
“The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a leading voice on the issue of homelessness. The Alliance analyzes policy and develops pragmatic, cost-effective policy solutions. The Alliance works collaboratively with the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to build state and local capacity, leading to stronger programs and policies that help communities achieve their goal of ending homelessness. We provide data and research to policymakers and elected officials in order to inform policy debates and educate the public and opinion leaders nationwide.”

National Low Income Housing Coalition
“The National Low Income Housing Coalition is dedicated solely to achieving socially just public policy that assures people with the lowest incomes in the United States have affordable and decent homes.”
