There are many ways to help eliminate homelessness, and numerous volunteer opportunities for those who want to get involved.

Volunteer with One Roof
Throughout the year, One Roof is interested in interns who can provide assistance in the office and volunteers with professional skills who can conduct surveys. One Roof is also interested in graduate and undergraduate interns for special projects, research, data analysis, etc. Also, during the year, in January and April, One Roof needs a number of volunteers to participate with Point in Time and Project Homeless Connect.

Are you a good mentor?
Can you cook or clean? Or do you offer professional skills?
There are a myriad of opportunities at our member agencies for volunteers with various skill-sets. If you can provide outings or just spend the night, there is a volunteer opportunity for you with an agency. Contact us if you have specific skills you want to use when volunteering or if you want to volunteer with a particular member agency.

Advocate ways to prevent and end homelessness
Lobby for State Housing Trust Fund and/or a new State Constitution. Get your house of worship involved. Involve your friends and family. Educate your employer/employees.
